I heard the pain when you were talking slow
I heard the news come through the radio now I'm just
down here with a homewrecker
I'm lost and I can't find ya..
Searching everywhere that we had been
If its the end, I couldn't swallow it now it's just
let the sun find me, let the ocean swallow me..
I don't wanna go anywhere without your love
We said goodbye in January snow
was moving fast cause I was on the low
cause the pain hits me like a life lesson
I know..but I'm just testing
every scar has a story to tell
I'll tell ya mine because I know it well
now its just your voice that I remember
get through this together
So let the ocean come and swallow me
I'm not the same person I used to be
I know you feel broken..memories will be the glue
Lifting me up, you just keep lifting me up..
Finding a way out
hold me down with the pain
hold me up to the flames
I'm finding a way out
ripping my heart out
hold me down with the pain
hold me up to the flames
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
